Therapists have varying styles, skills, training, and expertise—you get to choose what’s right for you, and I will openly share if I believe I have the skills to make an impact with your needs. In the field we call it the “therapeutic relationship”, to me it’s just “relationship”, and it’s an important one. For us to make real progress together you should feel comfortable and have the opportunity to understand if you feel safe enough with me to do the courageous work you’re setting out to do.
